Located on the southeastern coast of Korea, Busan is the country’s largest port city and the marine capital of Northeast Asia. It links the Eurasian continent to the Pacific Ocean and it is a city of passion and dynamism in which festivals and must-sees abound.
Busan has a flourishing MICE (meeting, incentive tour, convention, and exhibition) industry. It has successfully hosted large international events such as the Asian Games in 2002 and the APEC Summit in 2005, and it will host the 2019 ASEAN-Republic of KOREA Commemorative Summit, having held the previous one in 2014.
Building on its experience and its people’s support, Busan aims to successfully host the Commemorative Summit to contribute to the New Southern Policy and play a central role in promoting exchanges with ASEAN.
